Technology
Gas generators are facilities for the production of producer gas from plant and/or solid waste. Unlike fermentation reactors for the production of bio-gas, pyrolysis gas generators have short start-up time: from 3 to 15 minutes. Generated gas is a mixture of methane CH4, carbon monoxide CO, hydrogen H2, nitrogen N2 and other gases. Thus, the calorific value of the gas can range from 4 MJ/m3 to 12 MJ/m3. The gas can be used as a substitute for natural gas in gas water and steam boilers and gas absorption chillers, generators and co-generators designed for use with natural gas (in spark ignition internal combustion engine of a gas-air mixture), in various chemical and metallurgical processes such as mining and smelting of metals, production of hydrogen for synthesis of nitrogen fertilizers, synthesis of synthetic fuels – methane, propane mixture, gasoline, diesel, lubricants and waxes, extraction of raw materials for the synthesis of polymeric materials and others. Gas generators are designed and manufactured according to the type of fuel used (wood, straw, other vegetable waste, peat or coal), power and type of consumed gas (for internal combustion engine, for burner, etc.). Tokamak Ltd. designs and manufactures gas generators operating in counter-current scheme. The generated gas is characterized by low tar content and high energy performance. We have patent pending for our technology which is very robust, flexible and easy to adapt for different raw materials.
